Initiated around the 1400s, the Rampuria Haveli is one of the beautiful heritage sites of Bikaner. The construction of the Rampuria Haveli was idealized and constructed by Balujee Chalva under the express orders of the influential and wealthy merchant family, Rampuria. This popular tourist destination is plagued with excellent and exquisite handiwork prevalent during the 15th century.

Most of the haveli is up for display to the public. The haveli is open throughout the year and one can visit this magnificent mansion between 6 am and 6 pm.

Since Bikaner is located right in the Thar Desert area, Rampuria Haveli is best to be visited during the winter season. During the winters, the temperatures can dip to freezing points but still chilly weather is better than oppressive and dry summer weather which averages around 45 degrees Celsius.

The Bhanwar Niwas has now been established as a popular hotel for tourists. There are more than twenty guest rooms that are unique and different from each other.
