History In 1799, the Kachhwaha Rajput ruler, Sawai Pratap Singh, grandson of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh instructed Lal Chand Usta to build an addition to the Royal City Palace. The Purdah system at the time was carefully accompanied. Rajput royal women should not be seen by outsiders or emerge in any universal zone. The building of Hawa Mahal permits the royal women to enjoy everyday street location to royal parade on the street without being seen.
